Aubrey’s senior session at Maybury State Park was one of those evenings where everything just came together. The fall colors were starting to show, the light was beautiful, and even the wind added something special to the photos.

We started in a quiet, wooded area with lots of greenery. Aubrey brought her violin and using it in that spot gave the session a really personal and meaningful touch. It felt like the perfect way to show a part of who she is—calm, creative, and thoughtful.

As the sun started to drop lower, we moved out into the open fields. The light turned golden and soft, and it made everything look even better. Aubrey’s outfit choices worked so well with the setting—each one fit the location and her style perfectly.

Our last stop was the equestrian center. It had a laid-back, rustic vibe that gave the session a different feel. The fences, barns, and open space made a great backdrop, and Aubrey looked completely comfortable there.

One thing I especially appreciated is that Aubrey took advantage of the complimentary yearbook headshot that comes with every senior session. Not every senior chooses to use it, but I love when they do—it’s a simple way to make sure they have a clean, classic portrait ready for the yearbook.

Aubrey is a homeschool graduate with an interest in holistic nutrition, and she’s looking forward to diving into that world after high school. She also loves Pride and Prejudice, which makes total sense—she has a classic, grounded style that showed through in every part of her session.

It was such a fun evening, and even with the wind, everything about it worked out perfectly. Aubrey, thanks for trusting me to capture this chapter of your life—it was a joy to photograph you!
