    I’m so excited to share this incredibly fun mini-session with you today! When my homeschool co-op cancelled classes for the upcoming school year, I knew this would be a great way to serve the families in my community! There’s something so special about children's portraits that I began prepping for these Back-to-School Portraits!

My Backyard Studio | Child & Teen | School Pictures

    I scheduled these Back-to-School Portraits sessions over two days and while the weather was hot, the sky was clear, and it made for a great time for all of the families! Each family signed up for a 5-minute time slot per child which was a perfect amount of time! The families were in and out in a jiffy!

    All ages signed up from 4 years old to high school seniors!! I enjoyed the younger kids searching for the rainbow in my lens which gave such cute, inquisitive expressions. While the teens and pre-teens weren't interested in searching for the rainbow, they were all easy to work with and I had so much fun making them laugh. This was by far a favorite session of 2020!

    Since this session was in my backyard, I set up my single-person studio in my shed. I used a black back drop and all the kids stood just inside the threshold. The light from the sun was beautiful from this angle! You can click HERE to see a behind the scenes video of this session in action.

    To each family who came, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your children are beautiful! I can't wait to do Back-to-School pictures in 2021!

  Capturing Memories: A Family Session at Kensington Metro Park This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a truly remarkable family session at Kensington Metro Park . The Martin family - with fifteen family members coming together—Mom, Dad, their eleven kids, and two daughters-in-law—the session was a celebration of connection, and togetherness. It was an evening filled with laughter and moments that will be remembered. Kensington Metro Park provided the perfect backdrop for this session. Two hours before sunset and the light was perfect.   Jesse and Lydia's Magical Engagement Session at Kensington Metro Park Love was in the air this August at Kensington Metro Park , where I had the pleasure of photographing Jesse and Lydia's engagement session. Despite their busy schedule while visiting family, this newly engaged couple made time for a delightful and memorable photo shoot.
