Martin Family - A Family Session at Kensington Metro Park

Capturing Memories: A Family Session at Kensington Metro Park

This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a truly remarkable family session at Kensington Metro Park. The Martin family - with fifteen family members coming together—Mom, Dad, their eleven kids, and two daughters-in-law—the session was a celebration of connection, and togetherness. It was an evening filled with laughter and moments that will be remembered.

Kensington Metro Park provided the perfect backdrop for this session. Two hours before sunset and the light was perfect. The overcast sky provided beautiful, even lighting that made everyone look their best. The lushness of the park offered a lovely natural setting that helped highlight the family and not detract from them.

One of the standout aspects of this session was the family's flawless outfit coordination. They chose a beautiful palette that combined neutral bases with pops of color, creating a harmonious yet vibrant look. The neutral tones allowed the park's natural beauty to shine through, while the splashes of color added personality and depth to the photos. Each member of the family brought their unique style, yet together, they looked unified.

From the moment we began, it was clear that this family shares a deep bond. Their interactions were genuine and filled with affection, making it fun and relaxing for everyone. We started with full family group shots, ensuring that we got that prized photo of everyone together. It's not often you get fifteen people in one place, so it was important to capture that sense of unity.

After the group shots, we moved on to smaller groupings—siblings, individual portraits and the married couples. Each combination brought out a different dynamic and look.

This family session at Kensington Metro Park was a testament to the beauty of family. The perfect weather, stunning location, and coordinated outfits all contributed to a memorable and visually striking set of photos. But more than that, it was the genuine love and connection between family members that truly made this session special.

Thank you to this wonderful family for allowing me to capture these moments. It was an honor to be part of your story and to witness the love that binds you all together. I hope these photos bring you joy for many years to come.
